Meet Our Corps
The 2016-2017 School Year has begun and our Corps Members are Hard at Work!
School is back in session and for our 130 corps members the journey to One Day in Jacksonville has started!
This year we have changed our approach to teacher support and development. Our Managing Director, Program Continuum, Lakeisha Wells-Palmer explains more about our approach and why we shifted our focus. |
We Love Jacksonville!Jacksonville is known as the “city of bridges” as many of the neighborhoods border the St. John’s river, the Atlantic Intracoastal, and the Atlantic Ocean. A vibrant city with countless things to do, the movement toward educational equity is in full swing here. Several organizations and programs exist to further the movement to bring equal opportunity to Jacksonville’s students. They all are connected to each other, just as the bridges connect our city, to work and provide high quality education to our students.
TFA – Jax is one of 642 education non-profits working together for educational equity in Jacksonville. We are working alongside 30 AmeriCorps programs in Florida managed by state commission, Volunteer Florida. |
